WA artist wins top prize

WA-born desert artist Jimmy Donegan has won the country’s most prestigious Indigenous art prize at his first try. Donegan won the $40,000 overall prize and the $4000 painting prize, one of five categories at the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Awards. The West Australian, 14 August 2010.
