Education Services Australia – a new MCEECDYA company

Statement from the members of the Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs. Ministers have agreed to the establishment of a new jointly owned Ministerial company – Education Services Australia (ESA) – which will deliver innovative, cost effective services across all sectors of education. 250,000 dollars for 14 French-Australian research projects

A French-Australian collaboration in robotic astronomy, improving flood forecasting and investigating the origin and evolution of magnetic fields in space are some of the 14 innovative projects to share in over 250,000 dollars in funding from the 2009 French-Australian Science and Technology (FAST) Program. 1.5 million dollars awarded to build Australia-China science links

Joint Australian-Chinese research into wireless communications and new medicines for treating infectious diseases are just some of the cutting-edge projects to receive 1.5 million dollars in Australian Government grants. Seventeen grants to forge collaboration between leading Australian and Chinese science research organisations were announced by the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator Kim Carr. IIA responds to Government proposals on ISP filtering

The Internet Industry Association welcomes the release of the Pilot Trials of ISP filtering and its consultation paper on mandatory ISP filtering.
