International students in top unis do as well as Australians – new study

International students in Australia’s top universities do every bit as well as their Australian counterparts, according to a comprehensive study of Group of Eight student pass rates. The research by IDP Education looks at subject results for six groups of students – domestic and international, females and males, undergraduates and postgraduates – and finds very little difference in their academic performance. Researchers find way to reduce energy used by computer processors

Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have created a structure that would allow computers to process large amounts of information using less electrical energy. The new research could eventually reduce energy costs for colleges, universities, and other institutions that must process and store large amounts of information.
