The Minister for Education, Julia Gillard, has announced that she will meet with students from around Australia to discuss the proposed changes to Youth Allowance at Parliament House on Monday. The Minister will meet with gap year students from a number of electorates and their local Members of Parliament, including the Member for Eden Monaro Mike Kelly, Member for Braddon Sid Sidebottom, Member for Corangamite Darren Cheeseman, Member for Ballarat Catherine King, Member for Solomon Damian Hale, member for Capricornia Kirsten Livermore and Member for Lyne Rob Oakeshott. Federal and State Government responsibilities in support of international students
The attractiveness of Australia as a destination for international students is finally being recognised as an issue of national importance. Australia has had a charmed run on the growth of international enrolments over the last 10 years. The time has come for Governments both State and Federal to reciprocate through investing in the quality of the international student experience, and in reforms to help ensure Australia remains a preferred destination for international students. Kid-friendly sites screen videos for inappropriate material
There are tons of great videos for your kids to watch on the Internet — and plenty that are totally inappropriate. Even Mom and Dad may initially have trouble determining which is which. Using digital technology for drama education
A new book co-edited by researchers from Charles Sturt University (CSU) offers an insight into the many ways in which innovative drama teaching can be integrated with digital gaming technology to create a memorable student learning experience.
